Don’t let the name fool you. However, to the chocolate enthusiasts, cashew patties have a completely different meaning. A very tasty and delicious meaning, in fact. Cashew patties are rich chocolate desserts made with top quality chocolate, lots of cashew nuts and caramel.
Of course, chocolate alone is quite sufficient in most of the cases. From the sharp black chocolate to creamy white chocolate, it will simply melt in your mouth and take you to heaven. Sometimes though, you may want something different, something chewy or something crunchy. This is why using nuts is such a tradition with chocolate.
Now, cashews are a very special kind of nuts. They are very rich in nutrition contents, as they have quality fiber, healthy fats, very low carbohydrate, adequate protein and a number of essential minerals. They have a distinctive taste and texture. They are also quite soft, compared to some other kinds of nuts. They can also be prepared in a number of ways, including roasted cashews, toasted cashews, chopped cashews etc. All these forms of cashew are used in different food recipes, from bakery items to cooked meals.
One of the most popular uses of cashews is obviously with chocolate. There are a number of chocolate items that use cashew. There are candies and bars, fudge and brownies, pies, cakes, pastry and other chocolate based bakery items or even chocolate ice creams, cashew are an indispensable flavor of chocolate. However, cashew patties are not just another chocolate recipe that uses cashew for flavor or enhancement; it is considered as chocolate specialties.
There are actually a number of reasons behind it. Take the shape and size of these chocolate for example. As you can guess from the name of the item, it will have a somewhat similar shape of patties. In most of the cases, the chocolates will have a roughly round or oval shape. They will also be quite bigger than some other type of chocolate based candies. Yes, the bigger the better, all the more attractions for the chocolate lovers. They are mostly sold by pounds, in tubs or other attractive packaging.
Then there is the taste. A wide variety of chocolate, from dark to milk and anything in between are used in chocolate cashew patties. In most of the cases, you will be able to choose your the chocolate flavor with your order. Different kind of caramels is used as the base of these chocolates. The cashews can be roasted or toasted and chopped in different size of pieces.They will be added to the base as well as too the chocolate in a perfect harmony. They are also used to decorate the chocolate sometimes, as a topping. From the toppings to the fillings, it all looks very attractive and delicious.
